The moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! After reviewing hundreds of entries, we are thrilled to announce our top five finalists from our Fall 2016 challenge:

Aardvark’s Runaway Railroad

Aardvark’s Runaway Railroad is a fun cooperative train-themed game created by Steve Ehrensperger of Mission Viejo, California. The breaks on Aardvark’s train engine have failed and players must slow down and stop the Aardvark’s train by strategically adding tracks.

Chibi Quest!

Chibi Quest! is a fantasy adventure game created by Kelly North Adams of Windermere, Florida. Players customize their own Chibi character with cool armor and special items to defeat monsters and save the world. The player with the most defeated monsters win!

Cloud Control

Created by Eugene Bryant from Suwanee, Georgia, Cloud Control is a game of creative imagination where players try to score the most points by overlapping, turning, and twisting playing cards to form cloud shapes into recognizable objects before time runs out.

Monsters in The Elevator

Monsters in The Elevator is a cooperative early math game created by Jason Wiser of Somerville, Massachusetts. Players are collectively operating an elevator full of Monsters trying to go to work. If the Elevator gets too heavy, it breaks and everyone loses. If the Elevator gets to the 20th Floor without breaking, everyone wins!

Trash Pandas

Created by Michael Eskue and Lisa Eskue from Show Low, Arizona, Trash Pandas is a fast-paced card game where players are hungry raccoons pushing their luck to acquire treasure cards. The player with the most points wins.

For the final phase of our challenge, these five finalists have launched crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo for the next 30 days. After the campaigns close, our judges will select one grand prize winner to receive $25,000, a trip for four to Hasbro, and the opportunity to work with us to make their game a reality.
